Wageningen Research's role at DEFENSEFOOD
Wageningen Research, and in particular the institutes Wageningen Food Safety Research (WFSR) and Wageningen Social & Economic research (WSER), contribute advanced scientific expertise to DEFENSEFOOD, supporting the detection and untargeted analysis of chemical, biological, and radiological hazards in food and feed, and assessing the effectiveness of control measures.
WFSR applies state-of-the-art analytical methods and data-driven models to help identify food safety hazards, assess vulnerabilities in the food supply chain, and support evidence-based risk management and decision-making.
WSER applies state-of-the-art methods to evaluate the effectiveness of technologies proposed in DEFENSEFOOD.
